Gators Strong at Sectional Championships
Several Senior swimmers competed at Harvard
this weekend at the Speedo Sectionals with
strong showings by many. Franscesca Tocci
took 7th in the 100FR:52.04.
There were nine Top 24 swims by the young Gator squad.

Gators Take 2nd at 13-19 Open Championships
After graduating 17 swimmers last year, the Gators looked
to be in a rebuilding mode this season. Well the rebuilding
didn't take long, as the team, led by the 13-14 women, took
second place overall at the 13-19 Open Championships at
MIT this past weekend
Outstanding performances were many...
Anna Senko won the 13-14 200 Fly and placed 3rd
in the high point, Cece Burkey won the 13-14 1650 and
1000 Free and placed 7th overall, and Francesca Tocci took
the 15-19 100Free (:52.57). Robert Dowd placed 6th overall
for the men.
The boys 13-14 relays took 2nd in the 400FR and 400 Medley
and the 13-14 girls won the 400FR and 400 Medley, plus a
second in the 800FR and a third in the 400 Medley.
Ricka Sadovnikoff,13, took second in the 13-14 50 Free with a
Sectional time of :24.84 and was runnerup in the 100 Free.

The Girls 13-14 400FR Relay's time of 3:40.63 currently puts
them 16th in the US. Congrats to Ricka Sadovnikoff,
Christina Hurley, Anna Senko, and Cece Burkey.
Bianca Tocci, 13 last month, swam a fast :55.7 100FR for
11th place

The Gators swam at the Shawmut AC meet at Keefe Tech Jan 26-28.
18 Gator swimmers had 41 First place finishes.
Congrats to Ricka Sadovnikov, 13, who swam a quick 100 FR
(:54.5) at NE Seniors this month.

Twenty-seven Gators made the 'A' finals
Congrats to Anna Senko,14, who won six
individual events, and Abbie Benkert,10, who
finished in the top 3 in 9 events. Teams competed from
as far away as New York, Delaware, and Florida.

Gator swimmers took on the best of Connecticut in the SoNoCo New Haven Qualifier, Nov 17-20, and continued to swim well early.
